Big thanks to the British Army Gurkha regiment for sending two of their men in a landrover to collect Corin from Melamchi Ghyang yesterday and drive him down to Kathmandu. It was a long day for them, 15 hours in total on very difficult roads. Setting out mid afternoon Corin first had to walk with his bags one and a half hours down to Nakote village, with the help of a porter, as the road had been blocked to prevent access into that village.
He is now waiting in Kathmandu for news of flights back to the UK, hopefully later this week.
We'll also be updating in due course on the work and support the charity has been able to contribute to Melamchi Ghyang School during this visit, despite it being cut short due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
