In December 2019 the school celebrated the handover of the class rooms funded and constructed by CARITAS Switzerland. A new earthquake-proof girls' hostels has also been completed but funding for the boys' hostel is a problem and conditions are still basic. The dining room which feeds residential children and teachers has also been rebuilt with the support of Belgian charity Ketaketi.

Join us sailing the spectacular and beautiful coastal waters of Britain and help to raise money to support education in Nepal. Between May and July 2020 Corin and Andrew will sail ‘Moelwyn’, a 34’ yacht, right round the coast of Britain. It’s going to be a challenging trip and will test their endurance but their motivation and aim is to raise funds for the charity Yolmo Connect. You can take the opportunity to join this exciting adventure as the 1,800 mile trip has been split into seven legs. Lasting from between seven to 14 days duration each leg offers an exciting adventure for joining crew. Find out more on the Round Britain for Nepal page Work has commenced to construct an earthquake proof bridge over the river. The bridge was often was swept away during monsoon season creating significant supply problems for the village. It is now being rebuilt in concrete and steel by the Helambu Rural Municipality.
